Mindmapping for writers

On my neverending search for good writing advice, I came across this article on mindmapping for writers.

I’ve been using a combination of clustering and mindmaps for some time and find both  techniques useful, especially when I get stuck on something. It’s amazing to see what connections your brain makes when you’re not paying close attention.

Writing tools

Personal development blogs are often a great source for writing advice. Today I found a list of 50 writing tools over at lifehack.org. Since they come originally from Poynter Institute, they are mainly geared a journalists, but fiction writers may profit from many of these, too.

Not in September

I can’t go on vacation in September because too many other colleagues are already taking one then. So my trip will have to wait until October, I guess.

In the meantime, I go on looking for NYC-based blogs. Latest discovery: Midtown Lunch.
