The day job and creativity
From today on for the next four weeks, I’ll be in the office every day, just like normal people. My day job is, actually, an evening job, and usually I work part-time three nights a week. At the moment though everybody is on vacation and I’m filling in for a couple of collegues.
Thing is, though, working full-time drains the creativity out of me. That’s the reason why I prefer working max. 20 hours a week to working full-time despite the fact that this means I’m constantly at the verge of being broke. That’s the price I pay for my writing time, and I pay it glady.
Still, every couple of months I need to go full-time to fill up my holiday funds. Why must my favourite holiday destination be one of the most expensive cities in the world?
