Three years ago, on the visitors’ platform of the Empire State Building, I promised myself that I would be up there again on July 1, 2010. Not as a visitor. As a resident.

The City That Never Sleeps
One thing is for certain: I will never stop quoting from New York, New York.
Two years ago around this time, I caught my fist glimpse of Manhattan. That visit was meant to either disillusion myself as far as NYC was concerned or to cement my obsession with the place. I knew immediately when I saw it from the plane while approaching JFK that that it would be the latter.

Jet Lag
Seriously, I wanted to start posting entries on my trip to NYC today. This time the jet lag hit me pretty hard, though. It’s probably the price for adjusting to NYC time without any trouble.

Back
I had a fantastic time in NYC - more on that later. Now I need to sleep. I forced myself to stay awake until now in order to trick the jet lag. I wasn’t jet lagged at all after arriving in New York, but going East is always harder.

Desperately seeking reason
I am in the Apple store in Soho trying to convince myself that I can’t buy this sweet little MacBook. But I’m in love, I’m afraid I won’t listen to reason even if I find it.
I have had incredible luck with the weather. I’m coming back with a suntan :). It’s a pity I only have 32 hours left here.

The Discount Princess
Went outlet shopping at Woodbury Common today. Seriously, the place is Disneyland for fashion victims.
I took only one picture there, but that one has amused my family and friends over here as much as it amused me when I came across this place that sells German sausages. Not only did they mis-spell it, I am sure you would not find anything over here called wurst platz.

Tonight I saw A Moon for the Misbegotten. I loved it, go see it while it is still on. After the play, I saw Kevin Spacey by the stage door.
